Frequently asked questions
- Are my video files uploaded to your servers?
- No. The browser-based tools (extract audio, trim, GIF, compress) use FFmpeg.wasm entirely in your browser. Files stay on your device.
- What about the YouTube and TikTok tools?
- Those work with URLs and IDs only — you paste a link or text, no video file upload.
- Why is the first FFmpeg run slow?
- The WebAssembly module is large (~30 MB). It downloads once per session; after that, processing is faster.
- Are these tools free?
- Yes. No signup required.
